What do learners really need in order to master a new language? The presenter is a language teacher as well as an adult learner of L2 and L3 who recently spent time in a classroom as a language learner. Dissatisfied with her experience, she delved into the research and anecdotal data surrounding second language acquisition in order to create her own learning plan. This presentation is the result of those experiences. It not only discusses Stephen Krashen's 5 Hypotheses but also includes tips and strategies learned from polyglots, classroom teaching methods, and reflections on her own practice.
