All content learning has its own language, but how do we make our content's language accessible to all students? This presentation is good for anyone who teaches language learners of all levels -- including ELA, ELL, and learners in content areas. It offers easily-implementable strategies and answers the question: What do all students need in order to learn new language?  The presenter is a language teacher as well as an adult learner of langauges who recently spent time in a classroom as a language learner. Dissatisfied with her experience, she delved into the research and anecdotal data surrounding second language acquisition in order to create her own learning plan. This presentation is the result of those experiences. It not only discusses Stephen Krashen's 5 Hypotheses but also includes methods and strategies learned from polyglots, classroom teaching methods, and reflections on her own practice.
