LEAP Cohort 5 LEAP Into Action Conference

This session helps teachers select phenomena for science learning and assessment tasks. It defines phenomena, design challenges, and disciplinary core ideas, and identifies phenomena related to three-dimensional standards. We will explore how phenomena can launch a series of student-driven questions and how to clarify learning goals by analyzing standards. It also provides resources for designing specific prompts for assessments.
