LEAP Cohort 5 LEAP Into Action Conference

This educational session will highlight assistive technology considerations that are available for students who struggle with speech and reading disabilities. The session will go into detail on low tech to high tech solutions and will cover tangible handheld devices along with apps available for Apple, Android, and Google Chrome. This session will also explain how the New Mexico Technology Assistance Program can be a free resource of assistive technology for trial when other options may be too complex or time consuming for the teacher or therapist. The session will conclude with a hands-on component which will allow the attendees the opportunity to try out the technology for themselves so they can start thinking of ways these solutions can be applied in the classroom.
